The nominees, announced Monday, 15 March, also included MPC’s work on The One and Only Ivan, as well as The Midnight Sky, Mulan, and Tenet.

Filming in Australia in 2019, MR. X partnered with production on set through to post-production to realize director Michael Matthews’ post-apocalytptic vision. Working closely with VFX Supervisor Matt Solan, the MR. X team delivered 463 shots across both the Adelaide and Bangalore studios.
