The Festival de la Fiction, the first event to recognize fiction as a major genre, has been showcasing the talents and works shaping the audiovisual landscape for more than 25 years. Born in Saint-Tropez and now based in La Rochelle for the past fifteen years, it presents nearly 60 series and TV films each year across French and Francophone international competitions, out-of-competition screenings, and special sessions.
Beyond the screenings, the Festival is a hub for dialogue and reflection: debates, round tables, conferences, meetings with broadcasters, and writers’ pitch sessions bring together all creative professions—from artists and technicians to political and economic decision-makers. It also offers the public a chance to discover new works, meet the talents behind them, and attend signing sessions. Supported by nearly 50 public and private partners, the Festival remains a key highlight of the audiovisual season.
