This award crowns Lise Fischer’s first collaboration with director Stéphane Demoustier, which began two years ago. Together, they took on the challenge of bringing the monumental construction site of La Grande Arche to life through a meticulous process blending archival materials, digital reconstruction, and image post-production.
When first discovering the visual archives of the construction site, Lise Fischer shared that she was struck not only by the scale of the works but also by the aesthetic power and plasticity of the images. These recovered archives became the raw material for a subtle visual approach that served both storytelling and emotion.
On stage, she thanked the Academy voters and Stéphane Demoustier for his trust, highlighting how this César celebrates a thrilling and collaborative partnership. She also acknowledged Loriane Lucas, VFX Producer, and Muriel Ménard for their support throughout the project L’Inconnu de la Grande Arche, emphasizing that the ambition of the work could not have been realized without the collective trust that made it possible.
True to the spirit of teamwork that defines major image post-production endeavors, Lise Fischer shared her award with the 3D supervisors and all the artists at MPC Paris who helped bring this vision to life.
This victory represents an important milestone for the recognition of female talent in visual effects and once again underscores the excellence and creative daring of the teams committed to this film.
