The eighth edition of the Atlas Workshops will be held in Marrakech from November 30 to December 4, 2025 as part of the Marrakech International Film Festival. This international development program supports the emergence of new talent from the Arab world and the African continent. Each year, it offers selected filmmakers a dedicated space to exchange with professionals from the global film industry. The Workshops provide tailored support through consultations adapted to each project’s stage of development. Participants can receive feedback on scriptwriting, editing, financing strategy, music, poster design, distribution and sales. Last year’s edition brought together twenty-eight consultants and experts, supported by four mentors.

After our participation in 2024, this new edition will once again welcome VFX Supervisor Hugues Namur, invited to take part in several sessions dedicated to image post-production. Hugues will join two collective sessions aimed at filmmakers in development. These 90-minute meetings will allow each team to present their intentions and explore how visual effects can serve the storytelling. The goal is to help participants identify the right moments to consider VFX ahead of the shoot, either to enrich the narrative or solve creative challenges. An additional session will take place at Atlas Station as an open talk focused on VFX methodology.
Hugues will share his experience in preparation, artistic choices and the best way to integrate VFX seamlessly into the language of a film. As in previous years, producers and directors in development will take part in Atlas Station and receive guidance on how to structure their work internationally. Four directors will also benefit from dedicated support for the post-production of their short films.
MPC Paris’ presence in Marrakech highlights the importance of supporting a new generation of creators and strengthening exchanges between international specialists and emerging talent. By sharing knowledge and approaches, these meetings help projects grow and contribute to the development of filmmaking in the region.
