Synopsis
Matryoshkas are Russian nesting dolls, each one hiding another inside. Anna is a beautiful 24-year-old woman—but who is she really, and how many women are hidden within her? Is she just a doll seller at a Moscow market? A top model walking the runways of Paris? A killer leaving a trail of blood in Milan? A corrupt cop? A double agent? Or simply a formidable chess player? You’ll have to wait until the end of the game to find out who Anna truly is—and who’s “checkmate.”
MPC Paris (formerly Mikros Image on this project) delivered part of the visual effects for Luc Besson’s film Anna, specifically for the restaurant fight scene. The team worked on several shots involving gunfire, blood effects, CGI elements, and blue screen compositing.
