The Fondation Gan pour le Cinéma: 35 Years Supporting Emerging Filmmakers
Since 1987, the Fondation Gan pour le Cinéma has been fostering the emergence of a new generation of filmmakers, championing quality and original cinema from script development to theatrical release.
It has supported the early careers of Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro, Bruno Dumont, Catherine Corsini, Christophe Honoré, as well as Mia Hansen-Løve, Thomas Lilti, Katell Quillévéré, Joann Sfar, Houda Benyamina, Hubert Charuel, Jean-Bernard Marlin, Patrick Imbert, Aurel, and Julia Ducournau. To date, more than 220 filmmakers have benefited from its support.
As the corporate foundation of Gan Assurances, it stands as one of the leading private partners of French cinema.
